The Future is Ours to Make

Climate change data dumped

This is what those of us in the scientific community have been complaining about for years. I work with data sets that are "endangered" on a daily basis and NASA is funding my work. It is amazing how much of this data has been lost to history.

Is there any real chance of averting the climate crisis?

It seems that even James Hansen, the father of AGW CO2 theory knows that Copenhagen is nothing more than a smoke screen that will do absolutely nothing toward lowering CO2 emissions. Healthcare, Climate Change, Economy, so far these guys are batting a 1000 for failure.

When Results Go Bad … A Tale of Climate Science

This is a fairly long post about the data that was originally produced by CRU that underpins the IPCC climate data. It turns out that when you go back to the original sources, things are not quite as CRU provided.

Damn the deficit: Full speed ahead on health care

This is bad and going to get worse.

Spreading FUD About CRU Climate Emails

A couple of new memes are starting to grow in the AGW believing blogosphere. Unable to fathom that they could have been wrong, they are now beginning to concoct a story that the climate emails were forged or modified in order to make the scientists involved look bad.

President Eisenhower's Farewell Address and Its Relation to the CRU Email Scandal

President Eisenhower at the end of his second term gave a farewell address that is one for the ages in its wisdom. Many on the left love to quote him on the part about the dangers of the military industrial complex.

PCC expert reviewer Gray — whose 1,898 comments critical of the 2007 report were ignored — recently found that proof of the fraud was public for years.

Eduardo Zorita, Scientist at the Institute for Coastal Research, specialist in Paleoclimatology, Review Editor of Climate Research and IPCC co-author calls for barring Phil Jones, Michael Mann, and Stefan Rahmstorf from further IPCC participation

Like ripples in a pond, the effects of the revelations from the purloined emails grows. Short answer: because the scientific assessments in which they may take part are not credible anymore.

IPCC reviewer: "don't cover up the divergence"

Well it turns out that there was at least one IPCC reviewer, who in 2007, put comments into the IPCC review to not hide the divergence problem but the comment was rejected by the IPCC.

Data from the Decline Shows How Data that Did Not Conform to the Global Warming Meme was Not Used

Steve MacIntyre is at it again and has found in the purloined data that was hid by the CRU gang of three that shows a temperature decline instead of a Hockey Stick.

Jones et al 1986 methodical insertion of warming bias

As more people analyze the data released from the CRU the more it becomes clear that not only are there policy implications to the actions of the gang of three (Jones, Biffra, Mann), there are serious accusations of the manipulations of climate data to make things seem worse than …

This is great! These five Aussie members of Parliament resign in disgust over the Aussie version of cap and trade. Viva la revolution!!

Pretending the climate email leak isn't a crisis won't make it go away

When one of the main promoters of the AGW meme has this position, how is it that there is anyone that can continue to defend it?

Calls Grow in AGW Supporting News Sources for CRU Phil Jones Resignation

Calls for the resignation of Phil Jones from CRU grow, and not only from the skeptic community.

BREAKING: New Zealand's National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research accused of CRU-style temperature faking

Well it looks like the dam may be breaking on the climate scandals. There is absolutely NO excuse for this type of scientific fraud. And the politicians wonder why people don't believe them on cap and trade?

Bubble-fusion scientist debarred from federal funding, a lesson to be applied to climate scientists?

This is how the scientific discipline should be run. However, I will note that the violations of scientific ethics shown in the leaked emails from the UK from American researchers represent a much more egregious breach of ethics.

This is an article from Science magazine (part of mainstream science that does peer review) regarding the troubling emails from Phil Jones of the University of East Anglia where he asked people to delete emails, apparently in violation of UK law.

CRU emails reveal inconvenient truths about FOI

It looks like the UK taxpayer alliance is up in arms about possible violations of the UK Freedom of Information Act, including deliberate acts of deleting emails that are the target of FOI requests.

CRU Scientists Find Solar Connection in Climate (extracted from the email dump)

Here is an interesting email in the CRU compendium about a solar connection to temperature. I wonder if they ever published this? Naaaa. The nice part is that there is data and mathematica code that can be run to verify the connection.
