I have just read an amazing litany about some incredibly shocking incidents directed toward McCain Palin supporters in New York and Maryland. I had read about them before but Michelle Malkin has collated and amplified them.

What is it about this election that has democrats so angry? They should be jumping for joy right now, that is if their guy did not shoot off his mouth prematurely about redistributing the wealth of the people that he does not agree with to those that he does.

There is a temptation to be crude ourselves in this, those that support John McCain. We do so, not really enthusiastically, but now with rising fervor as there is no way that his policies would be anywhere near as damaging to the nation as Senator Obama's. Isn't this what our leftward leaning friends wanted? A debate on the record? And yet whenever that record is laid out, it is attacked as being racist or other invectives even worse.

We have viners who spend at least 12-18 hours per day here as part of an informal Obama defenders brigade, descending in mass when an article hits so close to home as to threaten their self defined worldview of what Obama is. The rest are simply ignored, no votes, not comments, especially when it comes to the record and policies of Senator Obama. If it were not so serious, it would be an interesting psychological phenomenon to observe.

I for one agree with another poster here who has recently come off the fence in support of McCain due to the attack on "Joe the Plumber" a new phrase in our political lexicon. Rather than deal with the issue raised by the question by Joe the Plumber to Mr. Obama, and out and out war has been declared, that has about as much truth in it as the rumors that screamed from the rooftop from Kos land and here on the vine that there is no way that her down's syndrome child could be hers as no woman could give birth and then be back to work the next day. All kinds of vile spin offs from this meme occurred, building unmerited attacks based upon these unfounded rumors.

As a picture here I leave you with one that Michelle found on another blog, of a man's fist knocking teeth from the Governor of Alaska's mouth for the temerity of being a conservative and proud of it. This cartoonist had this to say:

An Internet artist has designated Palin an "M.I.L.P" – "Mother I'd Like to Punch" – and published a drawing of a man's fist knocking a tooth out of the Alaska governor's mouth and the glasses off her face.

As you look at this cartoon my leftward leaning friends, ponder on what it means, and what you have given yourself over to. This is what you support? This is who you are?
