Germany's Top Environmentalist Turns Climate Sceptic

It began as a trickle, a false statement by the IPCC about glaciers disappearing, bad science written by the WWF on ocean acidification......

Then it exploded into the mainstream with the release of the climategate emails in 2009 and their successors in 2011.  Now the trickle is accelerating.

Germany's top environmentalist, who reviewed sections of previous IPCC reports and who noted errors and omissions then, has started to question what else is wrong in them and why should we trust the "experts" in the climate sciences.

Good questions indeed.

Fritz Vahrenholt, one of the fathers of Germany's environmental movement, no longer trusts the forecasts of the IPCC. Doubt came two years ago when he was an expert reviewer of an IPCC report on renewable energy. "I discovered numerous errors and asked myself if the other IPCC reports on climate change were similarly sloppy. I couldn’t take it any more. I had to write this book.”

Undeniably there’s a feeling that the stars are now aligned, the mood has swung, and key players are changing their minds. As FOCUS reports, even the most die-hard of warmists are converting, or at least softening their tones. Prof. Fritz Vahrenholt, a renewable energy expert, was once one of the fathers of the modern green movement in Germany and believed everything the IPCC preached – until 2 years ago. FOCUS writes:

The trickle increases.....

The flood is coming, AGW will be shown to be the largest scientific fraud of all time.

lol, actually climate deniers are the biggest fraud of all time...tell me exactly, what has all the climate change talk actually forced politicians to do to protect our country's land, and i consider it unpatriotic to not want to protect our countries lands.

I find it interesting that those who support AGW find it impossible to envision any answer that does not support their preconceived notions.

Nice comeback Soval. Classic childishness of the believers.

When you find a way to harness this green energy, without exponentially raising prices to the consumer, while making the US self sufficent and removing the ability of all current, past and future politicians, lobbyists and their families from recieiving one red cent off it, then maybe I'll listen. Until then, hypocrites like Gore and his buddies can go to he!!.

This is nothing more than a money making scheme, pushed by the left to make the right look inhumane and non caring. nice try.

That's all you have Oly, a string of empty characterizations? No wonder you don't see how Space Guy's accusations of ideological intransigence could just as easily be applied to his, and your, side of the argument.

When you find a viable and economical way to both produce and cheaply sell this green energy, like I said before, I'll be all over it. Until then, parroting and sarcasm certainly doesn't sell your point or argument.

But thanks for pointing out our inaccuracies and your disagreement with them.

could not that statement also be written as such?

I find it interesting that those who deny support AGW find it impossible to envision any answer that does not support their preconceived notions.

Just saying ... If it can be held to be true if said one way, its logical that it could just as easily be said the other!

It's interesting that no one challenges what Vahrenholt has to say. Instead they falsely attack his character. The closed minds of the true cult believers. Al Gore must be so proud of their faithfulness to "the cause."

I wonder how many of the AGW Warmist cultist diehards will quietly disappear from these pages and from public attention and from making public statements as the AGW myth sinks further into swamp of banking lies that it bubbled up from.

And, of course, in short order, they will all claim never to have really believed in AGW, anyway.

Admitting ot believing in it would be bad for their image, and, as we all know, Warmism is purely a matter of image -- being able to look like you give a damn when you really don't -- and nothing at all to do with science and/or protecting the environment.

      Superior Seed!
