Today we have a new reason for our national labor day celebration, it is also national empty chair day.
The American people have suffered four years of an empty chair in the White House, and a blathering idiot in the Vice President's office. The continual lack of leadership, the missed opportunities, the global descent into chaos, all fueled by the empty chair. I wish it were different. I wish that our president had the leadership of a Kennedy or Truman, the political acumen of a Roosevelt or even Clinton, but alas, all we have is an empty chair.
Dear Mr. President, stop with the excuses, stop with the blame game, accept the awesome responsibility of your office, or on November 7, 2012, yours will be an empty chair, brought about by an electorate tired of having to look at one when we so desperately need leadership in a dangerous world.
The empty chair is also in the Senate of the United States as the majority leader, Mr. Reid, has been beyond an empty chair, without a federal budget for three years now and another continuing resolution coming in the next 30 days. We have 16 trillion reasons why we need a Senate leader that is not an empty chair.
